Indians of the Week: January 30 - February 4
TFS has named the Indian of the Week for the week of January 30-February 4. This week's selections are Madison Dampier and Austin Ball for high school, and Olivia Bonner and Brody Irvin for middle school. MORE INDIANS OF THE WEEK
Madison Dampier - Swimming
Madison Dampier swam to two podium finishes (including the 100 Fly State Championship), two PRs, and two new school records at the GHSA 1-3A State Championship. Madison encourages her teammates to be their very best and give their all to the team. -coach Rachel Butler
Austin Ball - Soccer
Over the first two weeks of the season, Austin has accumulated 9 goals and 3 assists. He has led the team in attack and is proving his leadership qualities on and off the field. -coach Jeremy Stille
Olivia Bonner - Swimming
Olivia Bonner was tasked with stepping up at the GIAA Middle School State Championship from being an alternate to swimming on the 'A' relays. Olivia took this challenge and rose to the occasion, at a time when she could have succumbed to the pressures of such a big meet in a large facility. Olivia helped the girls' team to their 2nd-place overall finish by helping the girls swim to two 2nd-place finishes in the 200 Medley Relay & the 200 Freestyle Relay. Olivia also accomplished breaking three personal records dropping a collective 17 seconds across all three events. -coach Rachel Butler
Brody Irvin - Swimming
Brody Irvin helped the boys team place 2nd overall by helping the boys' 200 Free Relay swim to a 2nd-place finish in the event. Brody also dropped time in all three of his individual events for a collective 19 seconds of time dropped. -coach Rachel Butler
