JV beats BASA for 13th straight, then falls to Prince Avenue

The JV Lady Indians won a match and dropped another on the road Thursday evening, taking the win streak to 13 before it was snapped. The win came over Barrow Arts & Sciences Academy, while Prince Avenue Christian beat TFS. Both matches went to decisive third sets.

The Lady Indians first beat BASA, though they dropped the first set 27-29 before rebounding to win the second set 25-11 and the third 25-10. Shelby Whisnant and Kiersten George had lengthy serving streaks and many kills.

Next, TFS dropped a 3-set thriller to Prince Avenue Christian. Tallulah Falls won 25-21, but dropped the next set 23-25 before losing the third 11-15.

"Although we had some amazing serves, saves, and kills, we fell short at the end of the day," says coach Rebekah Jennings. "It was a great game with our defense being scrappy on the court."

The Lady Indians are now 16-7 overall and 10-1 in area play.
