Whittle clinches first-round win for MS Lady Indians

In the opening round of the Southern Mountain League tournament, the MS Lady Indians grabbed a 4-0 win at home against Rabun Gap. Lilli Whittle came up with the clinching win at 2-singles.

"Lilli was the clincher," exclaims coach Anthony Cox. "Super proud of our effort today. This was easily the best the girls have played all season. Last year we were seeded last and couldn't get past the first round. To make it to the semis this year is quite an accomplishment. We look forward to the challenge of facing the top seed (Habersham) on Thursday in the semis."

The Lady Indians are now 4-5 on the season.
