MS volleyball impresses in jamboree

 
 

The MS volleyball teams opened the season at Habersham in a jamboree against several opposing programs. Both the A-Team and B-Team came away with victories.

The A-Team was undefeated on the day with wins over Stephens County, Hart County, and Madison County. The Lady Indians won 25-12, 25-17, and 25-24, respectively. Tori Crotta paced the team with 10 kills and eight aces, both team-highs. She had a 5-point scoring run at serve.

Nora Mitchell had seven kills and five aces, and Becca Roberts posted six kills and five aces, and had a serving run of seven. McKenzie McCoy had four aces and Emma Whisnant had three to go along with five kills. Abigail Cruz had five kills and Izzy Watts had two.

The B-Team grabbed a 25-19 win over Stephens County before losing to Hart 17-25 and Madison 14-25. Maelyn Carlyle had six aces and a kill. Bella Sun had eight aces, and an 8-point serving run at one point. Kourtney Hunter (one kill), Watts, and Charlotte Hatcher each had two aces, and Chloe McCallister had one along with a pair of kills.

The teams compete at home on Monday against Stephens County.
