TFS has named the Indians of the Week for the week of August 19-24. This week's selections are Charlotte Stafford and Jedd Thomas for the high school, and Emma Davis and Lincoln Penland for middle school. MORE INDIANS OF THE WEEK

Charlotte Stafford - Softball

Charlotte Stafford was instrumental in both games this past week against Athens Christian. With a batting average of 333, she scored 2 runs and hit 1 single and 1 triple. She not only helped at the plate, but made several key outs at center field. Her work ethic and attitude are exemplary. I Can't wait to see what else she does this season. -coach Jenny Long

Jedd Thomas - XC

Senior Team Leader Jedd Thomas is the epitome of our GREAT cross country program. His demonstration of gratitude leads to generosity towards his team and visitors through a service mindset. He learned a while back that just simply getting out the door to run (consistency) is key and that he will always be better when he focuses on his teammates. Most recently, he set his 5k personal record at the North GA Championships as the #4 team scorer. There isn't a task Jedd won't do to lift up his team; he thrives when he helps others to thrive! -coach Scott Neal

Emma Davis - softball

Emma Davis is a sixth grader and new to softball this year. Emma has filled the role of catcher so far this season without any prior experience. She didn't have much time behind the plate until our first ball game. Emma is embracing her new role with confidence. She works hard, is attentive to what her coaches are asking her to do, and is a great teammate overall. We enjoy coaching Emma and can't wait to see her growth throughout the rest of the season. -coach Jo Kimbrel

Lincoln Penland - XC

Lincoln Penland, a new runner for MSXC, has emerged as one of our top competitors. He works hard at practice, always brings a positive attitude, and is great teammate. -coach Ty Cox
