Shelby Whisnant - Volleyball

Shelby Whisnant is a great teammate. She is always positive and encouraging to those around her. She also led the team with an outstanding hitting percentage and led the team in serving percentage and aces. Shelby also puts her team above herself with her willingness to play wherever her team needs her and performing to the best of her ability no matter what she is asked to do. -coach Matt Heyl

Alvaro Garcia Breton - Cross Country

Senior Alvaro Garcia Breton ran 20:16.15 to place 24th out of 125 harriers at the 20th Annual Cookies 'n Quotes XC Festival on the tough TFS Farm course in one week, 50 seconds faster than the previous week, while establishing a course and season best and placing only .15 seconds behind teammate Ryan Anderson, who also ran a course best. Alvaro has picked it up a notch this season, displaying more leadership, energy management during races, and overall proactive engagement in practices and meets. He earns the respect of his teammates and coaches by consistently displaying a GREAT attitude. -coach Scott Neal

Wynn Whitlark - Cross Country

Wynn Whitlark has continually shown grit and team support throughout the start of our season. Character traits that are required to be a top competitor and to create competitors on our team! Wynn placed 3rd (13:11.82) in our Heroes XC Invite, the highest on the TFS girls team. With her performance and the help of her teammates they were able to take home a 1st place team position. -coach Ty Cox

Elijah Pinney - Tennis

Elijah Pinney (1-singles) worked extremely hard this week for two big wins that both counted for the conference standings. While it has been an adjustment moving into the first singles position, Elijah has handled it well. He is a great teammate who leads by example. He is also kind to his opponents. -coach Anthony Cox
