Indians of the Week: October 14-19

TFS has named the Indians of the Week for the week of October 14-19. This week's selections are Meredith Orr and Ryan Anderson for high school. MORE INDIANS OF THE WEEK

Meredith Orr - Cross Country

Junior Merdith Orr was simply superb as the Team Leader for the 14th Annual Harrier Harvest XC Festival and Senior Day. She coordinated food awards, a senior swag basket chock full of special and personal items, sunflowers for every senior from every team, and the overall vibe of the festive contest, making it such a memory for so many that various coaches spoke about coming to this meet from now on instead of one of the huge, faster meets. In addition, Meredith contributes significantly to the team in various ways, keeping results and the TFS Legacy List updated for all to have an external goal for inspiration. She is appreciated for her behind the scenes vision and leadership! -coach Scott Neal

Ryan Anderson - Cross Country

Sophomore Ryan Anderson is creating a tradition of being a "PR" competitor. Though it is an ongoing goal for everyone to set a personal record at every race, since taking up cross country and track & field, Ryan has the most PRs than anyone else in that time span. He is strategic as a teammate and as a competitor, seeking to contribute to the life of the team by being a fountain of connection and engagement while taking his performance personally as a reflection of his effort, mental tenacity, and commitment to teammates. He set a course best this week at the GIAA Region 4-AAA XC Championships, running 19:25.54 to place 11th. His teammates appreciate, respect, and count on him! -coach Scott Neal
